Moving a piano or safe starts with careful planning
A heavy item needs more planning than a moving box. Its dimensions, weight and the entire route to its new position determine which approach is feasible.

What to share with your request
- Type, dimensions and known weight of the item.
- Photos of the item and the route inside both buildings.
- Floor levels, lift details and possible loading positions.
- Whether the item is fixed in place or still needs to be detached.
Look beyond the front door
Identify the type of piano or safe and provide its known dimensions and weight. If you do not know the weight, say so and share the make or model. An estimate should remain clearly labelled as an estimate.
Photos of stairs, corners, thresholds and the final position help with assessment. The presence of a lift does not itself establish that an item can be moved. Feasibility and the necessary equipment must be confirmed in advance.

Questions about heavy items
Can every piano or safe be transported?
That cannot be promised for every item. Weight, construction, access and available space determine whether a move is feasible.
What if I do not know the weight?
Send the make, model and any documentation. Do not present an estimated weight as a confirmed measurement.
Does transport include detaching a safe or tuning a piano?
Not automatically. Mention a fixed safe in advance. Seek separate advice about piano tuning after a move; it is a different task from transport.
